Using different settings for each watch folder

Use the Original Path condition when different watch folders need different settings.

Example

Suppose one input folder is /Users/yourname/Movies/Watchfolder/.

  1. Create an On File Load rule.
  2. Set Original Path to begins with the full folder path, including the trailing slash.
  3. Add the desired preset or destination action.
  4. Test with a file inside that folder.
  5. Load a file from a different folder to confirm it is unaffected.

Use your actual folder path. The trailing slash helps distinguish the folder from other locations with a similar name.

If the decision depends on metadata returned by a search, put that rule under After Metadata Update instead. Check other active rules if the selected preset or destination changes unexpectedly.
