Actions specify what iFlicks should do when a rule's conditions match. A rule can contain multiple actions.
You can set metadata fields and use tags to insert values from other fields. Actions also control processing options, including the preset, destination, adding the result to the TV app and deleting source files.
Useful actions
- Enable Automatic Metadata Lookup: enable or disable automatic searches, for example for home videos.
- Automatically start processing: disable automatic processing for matching videos after a metadata update.
- Set Artwork Type: choose the preferred artwork format when a file is loaded.
- Optimize Video For Streaming: control the additional file-optimization step.
- Run Apple Script: perform a custom task.
Available actions depend on when the rule runs. Set choices needed for metadata searches under On File Load. Use After Metadata Update for decisions that depend on the search result.
When testing a new rule, keep source-file deletion disabled and confirm the result with a single file.
