Setting up a watch folder

Automatically add new videos from an input folder to iFlicks.

A watch folder lets iFlicks pick up videos added to a selected folder.

  1. Open the watch-folder section of iFlicks settings.
  2. Add the folder you want to monitor.
  3. Choose whether new videos should start processing automatically.
  4. Check the preset, destination and any rules that apply to those videos.
  5. Add one completed test file and follow it through the queue.

Use rules to customize metadata and processing settings for a particular folder. Conditions based on Original Path keep those rules from affecting unrelated videos.

For initial testing, keep input and output in separate folders and leave source-file deletion disabled. If a file is not picked up, confirm that the folder or network volume is available and that iFlicks can access it.
