An external drive or NAS must remain accessible while iFlicks reads the source and writes the output. Being able to see a server in Finder does not by itself confirm that the selected folder is writable.
Check the storage location
- Open the exact source and destination folders in Finder.
- Confirm that the source file is fully available, not still copying or waiting to download.
- Try creating a small temporary file in the destination, then remove that test file yourself.
- Check available space on the destination and startup volume.
- Reselect the folder in iFlicks if it was moved, renamed or disconnected.
Respond to the relevant macOS file-access prompt. Review System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files & Folders where applicable. Grant access to the required location; broad permission changes should not be the first troubleshooting step.
Isolate a network or drive problem
Copy one affected video to a local folder and process it to a local destination. If that works, compare local-source/network-destination and network-source/local-destination runs separately. This helps identify which location causes the failure or delay.
Keep source deletion disabled while testing: a network volume may not offer recoverable Trash behavior. For watch folders, also check the configured path after reconnecting a volume. Report the connection type, failing stage and local-test results if the problem persists.
