Start with one video so you can check each setting before using iFlicks for a larger collection. Keep a copy of the original, and leave Delete Source Files disabled while you learn the workflow.
1. Add and identify the video
Drag a video from Finder into the main iFlicks window. Wait for the file information and any automatic metadata lookup to finish. Select the video and check whether it is a movie or TV episode. Confirm its title and release year, or its series, season and episode number.
If the match is wrong, correct the search information and look it up again before proceeding. You can also edit the metadata yourself.
2. Choose what to change
Choose Apple compatible when you want iFlicks to prepare a playable output and reuse suitable video tracks where possible. For a supported MP4/M4V file that only needs new tags or artwork, choose Update Metadata. Use a resolution preset when you need a newly encoded video.
Inspect the tracks and chapters you want to keep. Choose an accessible destination and decide whether the result should be added to the TV app. Rules can override these choices, so check any active rules if a setting changes unexpectedly.
3. Process and verify
Start processing and follow the status in the queue. After completion, locate the result and test the beginning, middle and end. Check sound, alternate languages, subtitles and chapter navigation on the device you intend to use.
A successful job confirms processing completed; checking playback confirms the result suits your player. Once the sample works, apply the same workflow to more files.
